A. Yatseniuk familiarised himself with the structure of Deputies´ automated workstations for the Rada-4 System, with the operating processes and functions of the Situation Centre, together with other Institute projects, and among them ‘Oncotest´, ‘Neuro-technologies, ´Intellectual Home´, and ‘Information Protection Systems´.
During A. Yatseniuk´s meeting with the Institute´s leading Scientists, attended by The President of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Borys Paton, the issue of accelerating the upgrading of the Rada-3 System, currently installed in the Parliament Assembly Room, and preparations for commissioning the Rada-4 System, was discussed.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine remarked that today the Rada-4 System specification is clearly defined, and the Institute is expected to report on its undertaking to develop and install this system in the shortest possible time, and to provide information on its cost. ‘I think it is high time to get on with this matter, as we have already delayed this for long enough´, stressed A.Yatseniuk. ‘Whereas information society has been established throughout the world, we continue to work surrounded by piles of paper!´
Returning to the subject of upgrading the Rada-3 System, A.Yatseniuk insisted on the installation of special sensors to secure exclusive personal voting by Deputies, according to the Constitution of Ukraine. ‘This is perfectly feasible to implement´, he stressed.
A. Yatseniuk added that ‘we must look to the future´. ‘There will be The Verkhovna Rada of the 7th , then the 8th Convocation. Ukraine is developing and is witnessing many changes´. He said that that it is a pity that ‘the overwhelming majority of politicians cannot see the significant changes taking place around them, and do not understand that a new generation will come to replace them´.
